Hi, I'm Tara.
My journey into marketing hasn't followed a neat checklist - but it's been a very real one.
I studied at York University in Canada, and while that chapter shaped how I think and see the world, life asked me to pause my degree in my third year due to health and family reasons. What didn't pause was my momentum. I stepped into the working world earlier than expected and have been building my career in marketing ever since.
Agency life shaped how I work.
Most of my growth has come from agency life - working across multiple clients, industries, and brand personalities. Fashion, F&B, hospitality, lifestyle, FMCG - each taught me something different. Agency work trained me to think fast, communicate clearly with clients, manage pressure, and adapt when plans change, while still delivering work that feels thoughtful and intentional.
Over time, I've taken on leadership roles - mentoring juniors, guiding teams, and often being the person people turn to when things need clarity. I care deeply about the work, but just as much about the people behind it - creating trust, supporting ideas, and helping them come to life.
During COVID, I launched a small customised clothing brand online after spotting a gap in the market. My mother, who had been in this business for years, had to pause during the pandemic, and the brand helped her ease back into her work. I later stepped away when I went full-time, but it's an experience I'll always value.
I'm still learning, and I hope I always am. There's a lot I want to build, explore, and get better at - and I'm genuinely excited by what's ahead.
Outside of work, I enjoy a balance of being out with friends and spending time on my own. I love conversations over long meals just as much as quiet evenings with a book. Working out and playing sports help me stay active and clear-headed, while travel feeds my curiosity and love for new experiences. In 2025, I unexpectedly fell in love with cooking - experimenting in the kitchen and it has become one of my favourite ways to unwind.
